HELLO! Shadow here with my first Death Note fic! Don't get me wrong, I fell in love with L, but Matt as well. :)

Shadow: *hiss* NO!

L: *sighs* Shadow Fox 2013 does not own Death Note

Shadow: If I did L and Matt would've survived *tear* On with the story!

I grinned as I walked into the apartment I shared with my two best friends, "Mello, Mattie, I'm home!" I called. Mello walked out of the kitchen,

"OOH! Did you bring my chocolate?" I rolled my eyes and nodded,

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, here yah go Mello," I tossed him the bag with the chocolate before walking into our living room. "MATTIE!" I glomped him while he was playing the game, something he always tells me not to do.

"S!" he glared at me. I grinned and held up the game he had me get. His eyes lit up, "You got it!" he helped pull me up from our position on the ground. I rolled my eyes as he put the game in and sat down. I grabbed my book before sitting with him, my legs in his lap and my back on the armrest of the couch.

"S you're such a bookworm," Matt teased.

I smirked, "And you my dear, are a crazy gamer!"

He rolled his eyes, "Hey, I'm hotter than most gamers."

"Yes you are," I muttered.

"Glad you agree," he smirked. I blushed,

"Crap, you, uh, heard that?" I've had a crush on him for a while now but I'm too shy to do anything about it.

"Yeah Skye, I heard it."

"Great, I think I made your ego grow," I rolled my eyes, hoping he'd forgotten about my comment earlier, sadly fate hated me that moment.

"So what's this about me being hot?" I blushed again,

"Well, um, yeah, soooo," I stuttered. He grabbed my legs and dragged me into his lap,

"That's not really an answer," he whispered. I closed my eyes,

"The reason I called you hot is because I'm in love with you." He froze. I kept my eyes closed, afraid of what his reaction would be. My eyes shot open when I felt warm lips on my own, they closed again though as I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck. When we pulled back for air he smiled,

"I love you too my little bookworm." I rolled my eyes before bringing him back down for another kiss.

"I WAS RIGHT!" Mello yelled. We pulled apart and stared at him, "What, I knew you guys were in love with each other." I smiled,

"That you were," I grabbed my book as Matt grabbed his controller. He began playing as I snuggled close into his chest.
