Brown Flowers
Andromeda walked through the door of the flower shop. Ted and her mother-in-law-to-be, Calieen were accompanying her to pick out the flowers for her wedding. The wedding that was to be held in two weeks. The wedding that her family wouldn't attend. Andromeda shook off the thought of her family. They are no loss to me. She thought as she turned to Ted. I have Ted now. They reached the counter and the muggle working put on a bright smile.
"How may I help you today?" Calieen quickly returned the mans smile, and looked back and forth between Ted and Andromeda.
"We're here to pick out flowers for my sons wedding" she said proudly. Andromeda loved Ted's mother, but she was always so cautious around her. It was like she was afraid that one wrong word and she would ignite the evilness that existed somewhere in Andromeda. Sometimes Andromeda wanted to shout evilness isn't hereditary. She was often annoyed whenever Ted's family proceeded to ask her questions about her family. She supposed it was because when she had first met Ted's parents she had painted a very ugly picture for her family. Maybe they're actually just trying to be nice. Andromeda thought suddenly she was brought back into reality by Ted tugging on her sleeve.
"Dromeda, hun, tell the man what color you want?" Andromeda stared up at him her big brown eyes meeting his blue. This isn't right I should be doing this with my own mother and sisters. He's not supposed to be helping me do the wedding. A tear fell down Andromeda's face at the thought of her mother helping her with all this. Going to pick out her wedding dress, the reception, and the clothing for the wedding night. It was just awkward going lingerie shopping with Ted's mother. She didn't want to seem like a slut or anything. "Dromeda" Ted said pushing her again. It was too much for her to bear.
"Brown!" she shouted and walked back to the door. Ted and Calieen just stared as she walked outside, wondering why she'd had such a sudden change in mood. After all she was the most excited to go shopping for the wedding. Andromeda stepped outside the door and tears streamed down her face. She sat on the bench right next the door. Ted came out, and didn't say anything. He knew how hard this was for her. Andromeda just sat her head in her hands and thought of how she had lied to herself. Her family had actually been the biggest loss of all.
