A/N: I don't own anything of this. Just the plot. And the wish to have a red kitchen. =)

Edward Cullen pulled his silver Volvo into the driveway of his new house. He rubbed his hands over his face to make him feel more refreshed. He was exhausted. Probably the twenty hour shift he'd done at the hospital hadn't been very helpful. He got out of his car, shut and locked the doors, then walked up the path to the front door.

He smiled as he heard the Beatles blaring from the other side of the door. He pulled a key from the pocket of his jacket and slid it soundlessly into the lock. The door opened and he stepped inside, shutting and locking the door behind him. He entered the sitting room and the smell of paint assaulted his nostrils. Edward continued walking through the dining room and into the kitchen.

Everything was covered in a see through tarp. A can of paint, a paint brush and a paint tray lay on the counter, along with a plastic cup of water and several paper towels.

His eyes locked on the brunette who was rolling vivid red paint on the walls. She was dancing around to the music and she was wearing a pair of his boxers and a white tank top. Her mahogany hair was loose down her back and some of it was coated in the red paint.

She was beautiful. She was flawless. She was gorgeous. And she was all his.

Edward reached over and shut off the portable boom box that sat by the toaster and she whirled around, shock evident on her face.

"Crap Edward" she gasped, clutching her chest "You almost gave me a heart attack"

"Sorry love" he replied with his crooked grin that he knew she loved.

"It's okay" she sighed "Just don't do it again"

Edward nodded and loosened his tie slightly. "I like the red" he said, gesturing the wall she was currently working on.

"I always wanted a red kitchen" she said in explanation "It was just one of those things, you've always wanted but never got"

Edward nodded. "I understand. It's nice. It's good for our kitchen"

"Our kitchen" she repeated, a small smile gracing her pink lips.

"Our kitchen" Edward said again "I like that"

"I like it too" Isabella Marie Swan Cullen said

"You know what else I like?" Edward asked his wife of two months

"What?" she asked

He picked up a paintbrush, dipped it in the paint can and then drew a line from just beneath her left breast to the bottom of her shirt.

Her mouth dropped open in shock as she stared down at her shirt. Then she looked up at her husband and dragged the paint roller that was in her hand from his collarbone down to his knees, dead in the center.

Edward chuckled and dropped the paintbrush. He tugged the paint roller from her hand and discarded that as well. Then he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him.

She went crashing into his chest and the red that they had carefully painted onto each other smeared off onto the other.

"You know what else I like?" he asked, kissing her lips softly

"What?" she asked

He kissed her again, harder this time, and when they separated they were both out of breath. "You" he said

"Well I like you too" she said and she captured his lips with hers one more time.

"Good" Edward said, and suddenly he wasn't as tired anymore.
