Prologue
Kerri Walker, a 7th year Gryffindor sat in her Common room in a corner, struggling late at night with her essay for the Potions master, Professor Snape.
" I cant believe that oaf made us write a 3 foot essay on the properties of the Reliops solution"she thought to herself. She was so absorbed in trying to write this essay that she didnt realize that her fathers owl, Kulien, was perched on her History of Magic book, waiting for her to take the letter that was tied to his leg. Kulien finally got fed up with her not paying attention, so he nipped at her quill hand.
"Ow!" she squealed as she looked in the direction of her attacked. "You got a letter for me Kulien?" she asked the bird. He lightly cooed and she untied the letter, unwrapping it and reading it.
"Oh no..." she said outloud, then read the letter again, making sure she was reading correctly.
"Dear Kerri,
I had just talked to Lucius Malfoy. I'm sure you've met his son, Draco before, considering he is in your grade. Anyways, Lucius asked if at the end of your 7th year, Draco could have your hand in marriage. Draco is a great young man, so I told him yes. You and Draco are recieving letters informing you two that, starting Friday, you two are engaged. I'll come down to the school as soon as I can.
Sincerly,
Father"
" Oh, my god. I'm going to be married to Draco Malfoy" she said outloud.
