((LOL NO GUYS. This is it. This is all I ever wrote. This is all I ever will write. You'll just have to deal with it.))

He was alone as he walked, save for the lonely howls of the wind through the tree tops. It was a bright but desolate night, the moon full, yet not one other creature awake at that hour, so it seemed. Snowflakes drifted lazily down from the sky, sparkling in the moonlight. One might consider it a rather beautiful sight, but it wasn't to him. Instead it was a cruel reminder of how alone he truly felt. Yes, it was true. He wasn't really alone anymore, but one child can hardly undo three hundred years of pain.

A heavy sigh escaped his pale lips as he trudged through the snow in his bare feet, pulling himself along by his staff with such an effort that made him appear exhausted. He knew not where he was headed, but only that he must get there. For it was there, where ever there was, that he stood a chance of quite possibly not being so alone. Possibly.

As the boy progressed onward the darkness seemed to grow more intense, nearly shutting out the moon and its light. Inside his frozen heart began to well up an increasing feeling of fear, and yet at the same time, a feeling of calm. The darkness continued to thicken to the point where he would swear that he could feel it on his skin.

It wasn't much longer before he spotted something a short distance ahead of him. As he stepped in closer he found it to be an old wooden bed frame covering what seemed to be a pit of some sort, and he realized that he was there. His eyes widened as he shook his head in disbelief. "No…" He breathed. This was his destination. But why? Why here of all possible places? A cool chuckle erupted from the darkness, and a familiar voice called out, "Alone again, Jack?"
