Gaius POV
Guinevere and I were racing through the Palace halls to Arthur's room, Merlin was going to kill the Prince and had to be stopped.
We entered Arthur's chambers to see Merlin standing above Arthur's bathwater; appearing to have poured something into it.
I grabbed a vase and hit Merlin on the side of his head, he crumpled; unconscious.
"Merlin, do you think.." I moved Merlin and hid him behind a bed post, Arthur walked out from behind his folding screen. Spotting Gwen and I, Arthur covered his tender parts with a pillow.
"Guinevere! Where's Merlin?" He seemed uncomfortable, being naked in front of a lady.
"The um water, the water has run cold. You can't take a bath today." She thought quickly and made a face of innocence, I'd believe her.
Arthur nodded and awkwardly went back behind the folding screen to get dressed.
"Tell Merlin he's dismissed for the day, he looked sick." Arthur said, as Gwen and I hefted Merlin out the door.
Third POV
Gwen and Gauis hauled Merlin through the halls of the palace, Merlin groaned.
" Did you hit him hard enough?" Gwen asked Gauis, she thought he was coming to.
"We can hope so, I wouldn't wish to hit him again; but if he's not in his right mind..." Gaius looked concerned, he was fairly certain he knew what magic was affecting Merlin.
Gaius POV
Loud footsteps were approaching, Gaius thought it was probably a Knight; some were very arrogant and paraded around the castle.
"What should we do?" Gwen mumbled, Gaius looked around but he couldn't see a solution to their predicament.
The Knight, Gwaine turned the corner and was met with a surprise, Gauis and a servant girl were carrying Merlin through the halls.
"What happened to Merlin?" He asked Gauis; Gauis looked worried. But some quick thinking on Gauis' part got rid of most of Gwaine's concern.
"He spent the better part of last night and this morrow in the tavern; somehow, he made it to Arthur's chambers." Gauis was able to look disappointed enough that Gwaine believed him.
"Oh, he should have known to stay in the tavern a little longer; sober up." Gwaine laughed at Merlin's misfortune and asked if they needed help; with a no, they went their separate ways.
Merlin POV
I groaned as I awoke, my head was killing me but my neck also hurt.
"Merlin? Are you alright?" I opened my eyes to see Gauis in front of me, I was on a chair?
"What happened?" I was thoroughly confused, I couldn't recall how I got here.
" You were controlled by magic; luckily, your a horrible assassin." Gauis was smirking at me, laughing at my misfortune.
"I don't remember." I mumbled, I didn't remember who I targeted.
"You weren't in your right of mind, you tried to kill the Prince; I covered for you." My vision was getting darker and I was losing control of my body. I tried to tell Gaius that I was still under someones control, but I couldn't speak.
"I'm tired Gauis, can I go to bed for the night." It was my voice but they weren't my words.
"You need rest, get better Merlin." I nodded my head and got up, making my way upstairs.
My vision was darkening, and I knew that the assassin was back and I couldn't stop him; I'd have to hope Gauis would notice. Hope Gauis would be able to fix it before I did something mortally damning.
Fin.
