A/N Okay so this is my first ever one shot really that I've written for this pairing. Based off of that head canon that I had. So anyway this is gonna suck. Hope you like it. Here goes nothing.
…
Remus woke up the day after the first full moon full moon since leaving Hogwarts very slowly. He didn't want to face the realization that he would have to deal with it on his own without the help of Madam Promphrey and the hospital wing.
But when he awoke, he wasn't in the cellar in which he had spent his transformation. He was instead tucked into his own bed wearing a fresh pair of pajamas. Every fiber of his being hurt as if on fire, which was usual for after a moon. But this morning was particularly bad. He could hardly sit up to see who it was that was tugging the drapes closed to block out the sun. He attempted to roll over to see, but the movement sent tendrils of pain shooting through his body. A small groan escaped his lips before he could stop it.
"Take it easy, Moony" Sirius said from out of Remus's range of vision, "You tore yourself up pretty bad last night. Get some sleep."
"I can't, Remus said, "I've got things I have to take care of. I can't just sleep."
"Don't worry about any of it," Sirius said, "I'll take care of things."
"No, you won't," Remus said. He knew that Sirius was all too willing to lend a hand, but Remus couldn't accept it. Remus had a very delicate sense of pride, one that was hurt whenever other people had to do things for him, he was perfectly capable of taking care of himself, at least he thought so. And it was extremely degrading to him every time he was proved wrong in that though. And and Sirius knew this. Remus knew that Sirius knew this. And normally Sirius would eventually back of, as much as Remus could see that it hurt him not to be able to help. But he always would back off.
"Fine," Sirius said, " I won't. Just promise me that you'll get some sleep before you run off trying to do stuff for yourself."
"You know I can't make that promise," Remus said, trying once again to sit up, and once again failing.
"Fine then," Sirius, "Let's play truth or dare."
"Excuse me?" Remus said. He wasn't sure he had heard Sirius correctly.
"You heard me," Sirius said, "Let's play truth or dare. Come one. Ask me. "
Remus rolled his eyes. He wasn't even able to sit up for this little game of Sirius's, so from his place flopped on the bed he sighed and said, "Fine then. Truth or dare?"
"Dare," Sirius aid, unsurprisingly so. Remus knew that Sirius always picked dare. So he decided to use this to his advantage and dare Sirius to not help him t all, and let him do everything for himself.
"Alright then," Remus said, "I dare you to-"
"Oh my god, Moony" Sirius cut him off, "I can not believe that you are daring me to cater to your every need for a while 24 hours!"
"What ? No I didn't, you can't just-"
"Sorry Moony, but it's been dared. You know the rules of truth or dare! And you know that I've never, ever backed down from a dare. And I'm not going to start with this one. Now, I should start with getting you another pillow. Honestly, Moony, who sleeps with only one pillow?"
