Here sits a little island in the middle of the ocean...
This place is all yours. It just needs a name.
The new owner of the island stood in front of a small keypad filled with numbers, letters, and other symbols. He had won the island in an auction and was prepared to transform it into the perfect safe haven for oddities and those wishing to escape to somewhere more secluded. "Naming was never my forte, but thankfully I already had an idea," the proprietor said to himself as he dug into his left pants pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of notebook paper. It had the insignia of an obscure hotel chain across the top and it only contained a single word: Merridew. A quick series of calculated taps on the keypad and the name appeared on a large billboard located on a hill on the island. "As the owner of MERRIDEW ISLAND, you can now help your MII LOOK-ALIKE start a new life here as the first official ISLANDER!" rang out from the computer.
Moments later, an exact look-alike of the new owner apparated outside of a newly constructed apartment building. "This looks welcoming," the owner's look-alike said cheerfully. His info card appeared next to him and he snatched it, finding his name was Yoshido South and his personality was that of an Outgoing Charmer. Yoshido had not a clue of what the latter term meant, but his controller knew it meant privacy and a life of leisure. He retrieved the key to Apartment 101 and opened the door into a rather simplistic 1 bed, 1 bath apartment. It had meager furnishings but would be habitable for an extended period of time Yoshido thought to himself. A quick glance out the window revealed a beautiful view of the ocean and, to Yoshido's chagrin, a boat on the dock which never belonged to him. He unpacked his belongings quickly and headed downstairs to see if anyone was aboard the vessel. A steel board crashed onto the deck and movement could be heard from the ship.
"Erm, did you intend to travel to this island, monsieur?" Yoshido asked, nervous of the identity of the new arrival. What both intrigued and disturbed the island's owner the most was the sounds of several people attempting to leave the vessel. The first to step off was a Caucasian male with a messy goatee; this man appeared to be in a state of complete confusion and stress. "Help! A vengeful electric mon-wait, is this the police station?" the newcomer questioned quickly as he rolled his luggage off the boat. "Dude, I'm going to need you to calm down. Just tell me your name and assigned personality, please," Yoshido replied. After a few moments of hyperventilation, Exposition Guy, as he had revealed his name to be, expelled a massive amount of information on his previous residence and how he knew he was a Confident Designer after taking a test online. Yoshido sent him on his way as another person approached him quietly. "Excuse me, where are your parents?" Yoshido asked as he looked down at the petite newcomer. She replied, albeit in Japanese, and flashed her ID Card before walking awkwardly away with her arms and legs barely changing in position as she went. All Yoshido could glean was that her name was Smol Nozomi and that she was an Outgoing Entertainer similar to himself. He sighed and began the long, arduous walk back to the apartments as the ship sailed off in search of new individuals to bring to the island.
Yoshido could tell it was going to be an incredibly long period of time before anyone normal arrived.
He would hopefully be wrong.
