Hi everyone! Anyone that reads Percabeth fics may recognize me as I've written a few. I like to think I've improved since then and, finiding a massive lack of AM fics here, decided to write a new story. I know its short but this is just the prolouge.

Minerva Paradizo shot another furtive glance at the sealed envelope resting on her lap. Slowly her fingers itched towards it. Open it. No. Open it. I can't. Open it. Very well then. Dizzy with the potent mix of excitement, apprehension and fear she prised open the top and tentatively slid out the single sheet of paper resting inside. It read:

Dear Minerva Paradizo,

I am writing to inform you of the success of your job application as personal maid to Artemis Fowl. You shall begin in three days. You will live and sleep in Fowl Manor itself and will sleep in an adjoining room to Artemis.

So it went on but Minerva -who normally would have read the entire letter several times and then would have checked it again once more for any hidden meanings- was too excited to read anymore. She had gotten the job! She glanced at the first paragraph again and then at the signature at the bottom; Artemis Fowl Senior's of that there was no doubt. And she practically got to sleep in the same room as Artemis! Minerva forced herself to calm down. She was a genius after all; not some stupid lovesick girl. This was it seemed however an impossible task and she let out a very uncharacteristic squeal. Gaspard Paradizo glanced up in surprise at the sudden noise. Squeals were not uncommon in the house-after all with his young son Beau toddling around, they were in fact quite common- but they were unheard of from Minerva who was normally so quiet. Deciding he had imagined the noise he returned to his papers.

Minerva however could do no such thing- she was far too excited. No one could understand why as it wasn't exactly as if she needed a job; after all her father was one of the richest men in France- but it wasn't the money she needed, nor the actual job, no it was the person she would be serving. Artemis…They hadn't talked properly in years- not since that demon incident a few years back- and despite the occasional email from time to time she missed the other genius and she had been relishing the opportunity to not only face with Artemis but to spend time with him too. She had planned for years but finally her schemes had paid off. She had a job where she could be with the one person she wanted the most. Minerva smirked, now a cool, calm and collected genius (albeit a slightly flushed one) once again. Even rationality however could not stop the delightful mix of euphoria and love that shot through her like a bullet. She was about to crack the one problem she had yet to solve; Artemis Fowl.

I know Fowl Senior would probably recognize Minerva's name but that doesn't mean he would hire her does it? In fact, knowing that she and his son were freinds would likely just make him more likely to hire her. Anyway, look out for the next Chapter soon!
