Everything was silent, except for the sound of peaceful breathing. The sky splashed with different shades of amber, and silver lighting up the cloudless night sky. This was earlier than the time she usually came here. Mare hadn't come to this hill for a few days, which was unusual for her, coming here had somehow made things a little easier throughout the past year.

She still wasn't really sure why she has come early, on this specific night. She just knew that she should, something was different, but, what, she didn't know. Mary-Lynette sighed, her mind wondered onto the one person she always thought about. Ash. Pictures began to flash in her mind. When she first met him, she knew he was the most handsome boy she had ever met, but something was always there, from the first day she laid eyes on him. However, his disarming, lazy smile and slightly wicked eyes didn't help improve Mary-Lynette's view on him. The image changed to the last night she spent with him. His dishevelled blond hair, his ever-changing eyes, his saddened features. She closed her eyes, shutting away the tears that were threatening to escape her eyes. Would he still want her? Would he ever come back? Would he ever want to be with a human? She stopped her trail of thoughts. This wasn't like her; she was on the edge of being hysterical, something that never usually happened to mare. She took a deep breath, counting the seconds the silence stretched. She focused on her breathing, trying to calm herself down; it was times like this she needed him. Her soulmate, her other-half.

Arms suddenly encircled her waist, bringing her closer. Mare didn't want to open her eyes; to afraid to shatter what she believed to be a dream.

'Ash' she whispered in an almost inaudible whisper.

'I'm back' he replied in a soft tone.

Dreams like this just make it harder to accept the fact, that he might not come back, she thought miserably

Mare, open your eyeshe said through the connection.

Mare ignored the feeling to do as the voice said, shaking her head softly.

'Mare, please, for me?' it repeated.

'If I open my eyes, I will lose you, and you can't leave me, not again.' Mare's voice cried for him to understand.

Please, let me stay in this dream a little while longer my love.

Suddenly, Mare felt cool hands cup her face, then the soulmate connection. The wonderful sparks, then the silver cord connecting each other hummed as the two embraced. Her eyes flew open, Violet eyes that almost un-noticeably changed to blue then back to violet, stared back at her

'Oh Ash, is this really happening?' She breathed, trembling, tears, that hadn't been aloud out of their prison, for around a year had suddenly escaped.

'Oh Mare' he paused wiping away her tears, 'I told you, I'd come back to you know matter what'. He moved his head closer to hers; Ash's hands were intertwined with hers, his warm mouth pressed against hers, in a tender kiss.

They stayed like that holding one another just happy to be together again. Neither one of them would ever leave the other, no matter what. They would always be together.
