Hermione didn't expect him to come back a week later asking for a date. She also didn't expect it to be followed by 3 wonderful years of dating.
She also didn't expect it to lead to this moment.
She was dancing with him as the rest of their friends and family watched with bright smiles. She, herself, was beaming brightly as he whispered a sentence,
"I love you, Hermione Weasley."
And she replied, "I love you too, Fred."
No, she didn't expect this at all.
