To think he was stuck here, with Potter, nonetheless, was something he couldn't comprehend.
It was December, the air was cold and frigid as bread turned stale, winds banging tree branches into the halls of Hogwarts. It was snowing outside earlier, but as it went on, the wind began to whip the snow around like it was controlling it. There was a howl, close to a werewolf's, but he knew there wasn't a werewolf close to the castle.
He was left at Hogwarts this year because his parents had decided to go on a trip to France for the break, which meant he was left here.
With Potter.
Bloody Potter.
"You know, if you scowled any deeper, your face will stay that way?"
He turned and found himself face to face with Potter. "Oh, really, Potter?"
The other shrugged, peering over his shoulder to look out the window, watching as the wind and snow whipped around together in a sort of dance. "It's pretty, isn't it? How the wind and snow look like they're dancing?"
"What're you on about, Potty?"
"Nothing, never mind."
He watched as Potter walked away, leaving the library quietly. He turned back to the window once the Gryffindor was gone and stared at the snow flying past the window.
"Huh, he's right, it does look like the snow and wind are sort of dancing…"
