He stared into the ocean, and his already dark eyes darkened even more. Water lapped at his feet then curled away. His shoes were soaked, and he knew he'd need new ones.
Why did he ruin everything? At least he thought he ruined everything. She was his best friend. Then he fell in love with her. Her smile, the way her eyes shinned, and how she laughed so freely. Thalia Grace, the lieutenant of the hunt and Zeus's daughter.
Thalia would tease him, saying what teenager wouldn't date. She'd say he was heartless, but as a joke. He'd laugh at her and retort that she didn't date and she was only fifteen.
"I'm a hunter, love and dating are forbidden." She'd say. Her eyes would darken and flatten like she was sad.
Yes, she made that vow. The same vow his sister had made. Every huntress hated men and would steer away from them. Thalia would run up to Grover, Annabeth, Percy, and I and hug us. She said that just because she was a hunter didn't mean she couldn't still be our friends. Well Grover, Percy, and I. Annabeth was like her little sister. She and Annabeth ran into Zeus's cabin and talk girl talk. I'd pass by the cabin on my way to my cabin and I'd hear them giggling. Yes, Thalia was amazing.
If a hunter was having trouble she'd be there for them in a minute. She helped Percy propose to Annabeth. She helped plan their wedding and even got Artemis to go.
Tears fell from his eyes as the memories swept through him. He hadn't wanted to tell her he loved her because he feared it would ruin their friendship. He was right someone had found out and told her. He thought it was either Travis or Connor, it seemed like something they'd do. Percy and Annabeth had found out before, and laughed. Percy said it was funny that he, Nico Di Angelo the son of Hades, loved Thalia Grace. Annabeth said it was cute.
Then Thalia had come to him and asked, no demanded the truth. He saw fire and confusion boil in her eyes. When he confirmed it, she simply stared at him. She didn't say anything, she couldn't. In fear of what she would say, he ran into the shadows and appeared at the ocean. Where, he had been for a few hours.
"Nico?" A soft voice whispered. He turned around and saw Thalia standing there smiling softly.
"Hey," He muttered staring at the ground. Thalia sat next to him.
"Did you mean it? Do you love me?" Her voice was very soft. So soft it made him look at her.
"I told you didn't I? I wouldn't lie." Her smile grew bigger and her eyes seemed to light up.
"Yeah you did." She lowered her voice. "I quiet the hunters, Nico."
"What? Why?" He asked in shock.
"Somehow, I'm not sure how," She leaned towards him, "but I fell in love with you." Then she kissed him full on the mouth.
I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Hope you liked it.
