The moment went by so quickly. I stood in front of my sister, stroking her hair.
" You will be strong, alright Prim?" I said, a serious tone in my voice.
I was going to stay strong, no matter how close to tears I was. As Prim nodded, tears in her eyes, I thought to myself. I was going to win the for me, but for them.
I looked at Peeta's face, and then at his leg. Death looked near, but I wouldn't let him die. The shadows of the Capitol men wouldn't take his life.
" Katniss, please don't leave!" said the bread boy
I promised I'd be back. I had to get food, I just had too. I still doubted if I'd live the way there or back.
I stood with Peeta, looking at the muttations. The nightlock berries dropped from our hands. We had won the games, together...
I looked out side. I was finally home. The sunset that was visible shone through district 12. I will always appreciate seeing real sun. Not the fake arena weather.
I hugged Prim close, promising I'd never leave her again.
" It's ok little duck, no one can hurt you." I said reassuringly.
Little did I know what would hapen in the future...
I woke up and saw my mother and sisters sleeping bodies. They looked so peaceful. If only they could have that peace when they awoke...
