Jaina Solo laid awake on her bed in her home on Coruscant. Zekk had recently disappeared, and she didn't know where. Jaina was very worried about her friend.
I didn't hear you leave, I wonder how am I still here
I don't want to move a thing, it might change

but I can't hide.
Even as dawn approached, Jaina laid there. She missed Zekk so much. She didn't want to see Tenel Ka or Lowie or even Jacen. She knew they would be worried about her, but she didn't care. She just wanted to know that Zekk was ok.

Jaina closed her eyes tightly, images from her and Zekk's childhood flashing through her mind. Swimming in the fountain in the town square at midnight. Changing all the animals in the holographic zoo. The two had gotten in trouble together many times.

A silent tear slid down Jaina's cheek, and she quickly wiped it away. She knew she had to leave her room and go to breakfast, or else her parents or her brother would be coming after her. That was the last thing she wanted.

Jaina stood, showered, and dressed before heading to breakfast. She put on the best smile she could, then gave up. She missed Zekk. She loved him. Now if only she could tell him. She would, when the time came, of that she knew. She just wished it hadn't taken her friend's disappearance to make her realize her feelings for him.
