Arthur watched with digust from afar as a group of teenage girls swarmed around Alfred, annoyingly high-pitched giggles and voices piercing the humid air.
"So, like, what are your favourite movies and stuff?" one girl asked, her mascara caked eyelashes batting up a storm.
"Uh, action, superhero, horror.. that kinda genre." The American grinned, his white teeth gleaming in the summer sun. He seemed a little overwhelmed.
"... LIKE OH MY GAWD, ME TOO!" The girl replied enthusiasticly. Arthur rolled is eyes at the clearly forced words. He'd come out to have a day with America and this is what happened. He decided to observe the situation a little more before deciding what to do.

"But like, horror movies are so scary!" No kidding. "I always had my boyfriend to hold my hand but he's not around anymore" Oh, I see your motive. "You know, sometimes I wish I still had someone that was strong and cute like you to cuddle..." The girl finished, staring at the ground and pretending to look upset. Oh god, he's not going to buy that, is he?!
"Oh. Uh- Thanks? I guess?" Alfred looked rather uncomfortable now, but strangley flattered. Having decided that enough was enough after that poorly executed pick up line, Arthur decided that he had to do something. Swiftly, he stepped in between the girl and Alfred.
"Ok, Alfred, I think it's about time we left, yes?" He said, eyeing the annoying teen.
"Oh, ok, su-" His friend began, suprised by the sudden interception. However, he was stopped mid sentence by a loud squeal.
"LIKE OH MY GOD, IS THIS GUY YOUR LIKE, BOYYYFRIEEND?"
"What?! No! Why would I ever want to-"
Suddenly, Alfred, somehow seeing the teenager's outburst as a signal, grabbed Arthur from behind and quickly whispered in his ear.
"Ok, so we are both in a very uncomfortable situation, yeah?"Arthur nodded slowly, a feeling of regret and dread washing over him. "So just follow my lead, and maybe we can get out of this." Alfred let go of Arthur and grinned.
"Yeah, he is totally my boyfriend!"
Arthur cringed on the inside. The teens' eyes seemed to flame with passion. Or was it jealousy?
"Oh my god, that is sooooo cute!"
"He was like, soooo protective of you!"
"Oh my GAWD, you guys can like, totally go shopping with us and stuff! It'll be SO fun!"
England felt like crying. He knew that it Alfred obviously didn't want to get hit on, but why did have to pretend that they were lovers?
"Haha! That does sound fun, but we have to rush home now. Arthur here is getting a little tired." Alfred put an arm around Arthur's shoulders.
"Awww, ok. BYEEE!" The swarm of girls swiftly made their exit, clearly getting the message and searching for another good looking guy to attack. Alfred grinned and waved them on. Once they were out of sight, he sighed and shoved his arms into his jean pockets.
"Well, that was interesting, wasn't it?" He said, giving Arthur a sheepish grin.
"I swear to god Alfred, this is the last time I'll ever do anything for you." Arthur replied through gritted teeth, staring holes into the ground. He could feel his face radiating the heat of a thousand suns.
"Ha, you are pretty cute when you're angry."
Arthur's eyes widened in suprise. Did he just said what he thought he said?
"Nope. No. Not happening. I am not in the mood. Let's just go home and forget everything that occured today. Okay?" He quickly said, trying to distract him from the teasing words that his friend had just said
"Aww, but we were out here for like 30 minutes!" Alfred protested.
"No. We are going home." Arthur quickly turned and marched off, leaving the panicked American to quickly chase after him in hopes of persuading the Brit to stay longer.
