Herobrine was preparing to engage in battle with a long-time enemy of his (a human, of course) when it happened.

Notch is gone…

The words of his intuition drifted through his mind as they always did, but their gentle arrival did not lessen the shock of their meaning.

Immediately Herobrine retreated, running far away so he could be alone to contemplate this. It took him seconds for his intuition to tell him everything.

Notch is god of Minecraftia no more…he has handed that title, and the power that comes with it, over to another, and moved on…

Moved on? thought Herobrine, outraged. Moved on to what? What else is there, but my world, but our world, but us? This is his world! He created it, created me - ME! His own brother, given new life in this new world he created, thus forever marking this world as his and his alone! His power has gone to his head since this world began, and he has created more than he may even know, and now he's just…leaving us? Just like that? All our races, all our world, all of it his own making, and he's just…leaving? Putting us in the hands of another, one inferior in power and understanding, and leaving?

Herobrine had accepted, long ago, that his brother, the almighty Creator who lived in the Great Beyond, did not fully appreciate what exactly he had created. Herobrine had even managed to come to terms with the fact that his world may be little more than a joke to his brother…but this was something else entirely. This utter abandonment showed just how little Notch cared for his own creations, his own children.

Brother… Herobrine shook his head, more furious than he had ever been before. Brother, indeed. You're no brother of mine, Notch, not if we mean so little to you that you could create so many intricacies as to engender complete chaos in our world and then betray us, as you have done. This is cruel, even for you. This world has always been yours - I have ensured that! I fought for you, for so long…and now you would just walk away?

You disgust me…
