For all of you who have read my first fanfic, I hope you enjoy this one. If you haven't, I hope you will please read it. Anyway, here is the story.
Wizard Genius
Chap 1
It was one year after the Darkloid War. All of the damage caused by the Dimensional Area battles had been fixed. Even NetCity had been rebuilt. And no evil had ever come to harm this peace throughout the year; that we know of, anyway.
The original Dimensional Generators had all been destroyed, and the technology to create personal ones continued to be pursued. Other advances, however, had surfaced in the forms of more reliable power sources and more efficient computing techniques. Indeed, even new people had come to take the place of their elders. This is the tale of one of those geniuses.
Skip to NetCity, inside a small warehouse
"Sir, I'm ready to initiate the test."
"Excellent Wizardman (To all those who know the series, Magicman was Yahoot's NetNavi). Now, let's begin. Ruby Armor Chip in. Download."
A flash of red light swirled around inside the warehouse, and then faded.
"The test is successful, sir."
"Good. Upload," The red light shone again, more briefly this time, before disappearing. "Now, try this. Sapphire Armor Chip in. Download."
This time blue light swirled around in the warehouse, showing momentarily a Navi with what appeared to be armor made out of sapphire.
"Again, successful. But, this time it took longer, as we had planned."
"Oh, well. Upload."
This "test" continued on for three more "armor chips:" emerald, gold, and diamond. Of all these chips, the one these two were most interested in were how the diamond chip acted.
"Well, I suppose I know why the diamond one failed."
"Why, sir?"
"The calculations for it need to be oh-so precise in order for it to work. Believe me, making battle chips is hard work."
"Then, might I suggest you get some rest, sir?"
"I might as well. Thank you, Wizardman. You've been a real asset to me."
Wizardman logging out.
Wizardman downloaded into a P.E.T., one very like Lan Hikari's; except that it was pure white and the symbol on it was a wizard's hat.
"When will my security navis be able to duplicate the basic armors?"
"Within the hour, sir," said Wizardman. "Because of the research Cylab has allowed us to use, we have been able to equip them with other battle chips as well; just in case."
"Excellent. Now, why don't you get some rest as well, Wizardman? We both have a long day ahead tomorrow."
"Very well. Good night then, James."
James Parker, very weary over what they had just accomplished, jacked the P.E.T. into its charging port and got into bed. As he mused over the day's proceedings, like he always did before falling to sleep, he also thought about what he was going to say tomorrow. I mean, he thought, it's not like anyone hasn't thought that I've been conducting secret research in here! Still, I'll need to keep my guard up. Somehow, I have to find a way to protect my results!
