Henley Reeves curled into a ball in her bed.
Did he mean what he said on the elevator?
Daniel Atlas walked in. Henley shot straight up.
"Hey, beautful." He said.
"What did you just call me?" She said defensively.
"Relax, just a compliment." He said, surprsed by her reaction.
She sighed and pulled her pillow over her head. Daniel sat on the edge of her bed.
"Is something wrong?" He asks.
"Just a headache. I'm fine, really." She said.
I really, really hope he doesn't try to help me.
"Do you need a cold water or anything?" Daniel offered.
Ugh, that's what I was afraid of.
"What did I just say?" Henley snapped.
Daniel winced.
Henley sighed again. "Sorry." She said.
"Seriously, Henley, what's with you today?" He asked.
"I was just... Wondering about something." She said.
"I bet I know the answer. I'm smart, you know." He said.
Henley smiled. "I knew you couldn't go too long without being cocky." She said.
He shrugged.
Enough chit chat, get back to the real matters.
"Anyways, I was just wondering f you meant what you said." She said, lookng at her feet.
"About what?" Daniel asked, scratching her head.
"In the elevator in New York." Henley said, refreshing Daniel's memory.
"Oh, that." He said. He smiled.
Henley smiled back.
"Aw, are you gonna kiss me or what?" She asked.
Then, they kissed.
I am so glad I asked him.
