Summary: Takes place after Lorelai and Rory meet at Weston's Bakery in the episode A House Is Not a Home. However, Rory did not drop out of Yale. Will Luke and Lorelai still become engaged?

AN: I wrote this story while I had some down time at work. I have never written a fanfic before so the reviews will help a lot. Also, if anyone would like to be my beta I would be very thankful. Just let me know in your review. I hope you like it. If you have any suggestions as to where you would like it to go, tell me. I have a few ideas.

Chapter 1: Movie?

Later that evening around 7 o'clock, Lorelai walks into the diner. The dinner rush was just clearing out so she took a seat at the counter to wait for Luke. A few minutes later Luke comes walking out of the storage room and behind the counter. He leans over the counter to give her a kiss.

"What would you like to eat?" he asks as he pours her a cup of coffee.

"I thought instead of eating here we could order a pizza and have a movie night. We haven't had one in a while. Plus then I could have you all to myself." Lorelai says a glint in her eye.

"Ah jeezs." She quiets him by giving him another kiss.

"Sounds like a plan. Let me just tell Caesar that I'm leaving and to close up for me." He heads back to the kitchen to find Caesar, as Lorelai finishes her cup of coffee.

One pizza, two movies, and a lot of junk food later, Lorelai is asleep on the couch. She is snuggled up against Luke with his arm around her, rubbing her arm. He leans down slightly and kisses the top of her head. She smiles and looks up at him and their lips meet each others.

"Mmmm, let's go to bed I'm exhausted."

Luke picks her up, "Okay," and carries her up the stairs to bed.

Once upstairs he lays her on the bed and goes over to her chair where she has flung his blue flannel shirt from the night before, and helps her change into it. He then takes off his own pants and shirt and crawls in bed next to her. He leans over to give her a kiss but she is already asleep so he just places his kiss on her cheek.
