Naruto and his buddies from team 7 were standing by a bench waiting for Kakashi to show up. He had never been good with time. One excuse came after the other. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were wondering what he would come up with this time. They had always deemed Kakashi's alibis lame, but on that day, his excuse allowed those three children to realize the dream they had been pursuing for so long.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he were reading his dumb series right now!" Naruto complained.
Just then, Kakashi ran in, saying, "Sorry I'm late you guys, but I was… umm.."
"This better be good.." Sakura yelled.
"I was… planning a tea party for all of you!"
"A tea party? No way! Right on, sensei!" Sasuke was most excited of them all. "Will all our other classmates from the Ninja Academy get to come too?"
"Why of course! It wouldn't be a party without them."
The next morning, all the children came by dressed in their finest attire. Kakashi even rented a tuxedo, but he couldn't have planned that whole celebration on his own. Guy sensei, Kurenai sensei, and Asuma sensei helped him with the details. Kurenai found costumes for everyone, Asuma ordered a crate of cigarettes for himself, Guy provided the spirit of true youth, while Kakashi kept everyone's hopes up.
When it finally came time for the tea party, Naruto declared, with them as his witnesses, that he would for sure become the best hokage the Village Hidden in Leaves had ever seen!
Sakura bonked him on the head and said, "Idiot Naruto, that's no way to begin our tea party!"
Sasuke laughed at Naruto's pain and that is when he realized that he had a thirst…. For tea!
They all drank lots of tea, they were merry, Sasuke never left, none of them died (especially not Asuma), and Naruto became hokage sometime later that day, after having enough tea to fill him with courage.
