My first Dramione fic! Well, hope you like it!
"You okay?" Harry asked his friend.
"No!" Hermione snapped back. "I can't seem to do anything today! I knocked my potion all over my bag – hic – and my ink is splattered over all my parchment! Hic! And these stupid hiccups aren't helping! So, no, Harry, I am not 'okay'."
"Mione." Ron set a hand on her shoulder. "You might want to start with calming down a bit."
She spun around to face the ginger. "Could you shut up for once in your lifetime, Ronald? Hic! Please?"
Both Ron and Harry put their hands up in surrender and backed away from her.
"Okay," Harry said softly. "We won't say another word."
"Thank you!" Hermione exclaimed. "Finally! Hic!"
But, even though her two best friends left her alone for the rest of the class, she still couldn't get anything finished. She blamed it all on her terrible case of the hiccups.
Class was finally over, but Hermione had to clean up all the messes she had made, so she sent Harry and Ron ahead.
She was just closing up a cabinet door that was ajar before leaving. She had thought she was alone in the room, but heard a cough behind her. She spun around, thinking it was just Snape about to scold her for taking so long. But instead of being met by the professor's crooked nose, greasy hair, and cold black eyes, she was met by none other than Draco Malfoy, sitting atop his desk.
"What are you doing, Malfoy?" she asked.
"Just waiting to talk," he replied calmly.
She narrowed her eyes. He was up to something, she could tell. "What about?"
The blonde slid off the table and walked closer to Hermione. "I thought I might know a way to cure that terrible case of the hiccups you've got."
She was suspicious. But she asked herself, What's the worst that could happen? and told him, "Go ahead."
He leaned in to her, until their faces where mere millimeters apart, and kissed her. It was quick, just a short peck, then he pulled away.
"Hic! Looks like it didn't work," Hermione smiled.
"Well maybe it just needs a little more," Draco grinned back.
