She walked through the door alone, her brother nowhere in sight. All eyes were on her but one pair of eyes didn't look on her with hate. He was her only friend, her sanctuary, he was the one she went to when everything was to hard for her to handle. Like her parents divorce. Ryan had decided to go with their mother since he was mommas little boy. Sharpay on the other hand decided to stay with their father since he was the one who earned a lot of money, he was the one that was going to pay for college so it was best to stay on the good side with him.
"Wonder where Ryan is"
"Probably at home avoiding the 'ice queen"
"I heard he died in a car crash"
Sharpay couldn't help but hear the conversation between the three girls when she walked past them on her way to her locker where she met up with Gabriella and Taylor. They had settled their differences a while ago and Sharpay was now a part of their group.
"Sharpay, what is going on" Gabriella asked concerned.
"Nothing, nothing at all" Sharpay smiled while mumbling "only my family has fallen apart" she put all of her books in her locker and headed of to homeroom with Gabi and Taylor by her side trying to lure the truth out of her.
School was finally over and she could finally relax. Gabi and Taylor had been breathing down her neck every chance they got during the day trying to find out what happened to Ryan.
She had driven home from school without even a goodbye to all of her friends, she really didn't want to be questioned anymore than she already had been.
She parked her car in the driveway and walked up to her front door but stopped dead in her tracks when she thought of Troy. He was her best friend and she hadn't even looked at him, he had tried to talk to her but she ignored him.
So instead of walking into her house she crossed the street to go to Troy's house and apologise to him for being a bitch to him during the day.
She rang the doorbell twice before he answered the door. The look on his face told her he was hurt. She enveloped him in a bear hug and apologised over and over again until she felt him wrap his arms around her.
He led her up to his room where they sat down on his bed next to each other.
"You wanna tell me what happened?" he asked.
Sharpay took a deep breath before explaining everything to hi, how her parents were in the middle of a divorce and how Ryan went with their mom and she stayed with her father.
"I don't know how I'm supposed to survive without him…he's always been there for me and now he won't cause he'll be 50 miles away" She cried as Troy held her in his arms rubbing her back gently.
"It will be okay, trust me"
Sharpay looked into his eyes and saw something there that she had never seen before "I trust you"
He slowly leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips. When they broke apart he looked her in the eye once to see if she had any objections before ha pulled her closer and kissed her again, this time with more passion.
