George's POV

Frankly I cannot imagine spending my entire life focused on one girl. I like the ladies, you know, and they seem to enjoy their time with me too. But to set my sight on one girl when I was a little lad and never want anyone else… ever? No.

Yet that is what happened with my sister Ginny. We had always heard the story of Harry Potter, of course, but she was a tiny thing when she first laid eyes on him at King's Cross Station. From then on, she had set her course.

It didn't help that he rescued her from the Chamber of Secrets her first year. I suppose there's nothing like having someone fight a gigantic monster on your behalf and then saving you from a dark wizard. The fact that he nearly died doing it only added to the glamour of the whole situation.

After that she stayed as close to Harry as she could. Like all the Weasleys, she was in Gryffindor house, just as Harry was, so they sat near one another at meals. An incredible athlete and player, she easily made the Quiddich team as soon as she was eligible.

During her fourth year she was dating… well, everyone. A closer look revealed that all the guys she was dating were friends of Ron and Harry. One after another Ginny took them for a spin, conveniently under the nose of a certain Mr. Potter.

Evidently he finally got a clue. Fifth year finally saw them in love with one another and we were all happy for them.

It looked like it fell apart after Dumbledore's death. That changed Harry. Dumbledore was on a mission to find Horcruxes. When he died, Harry picked up the dropped torch and made the mission his own.

Harry's heart was fully involved in the war against Voldemort and his relationship with Ginny became a casualty. I could almost hear her heart breaking as his mates, Ron and Hermione, made plans to go off with Harry, leaving Ginny behind.

So it was with a quiet happiness that I watched on the morning of Bill and Fleur's wedding as Ginny asked Harry to fasten her dress for her and the intimacy between them was so intense that they never even noticed my presence. As I wished them good morning it was only too obvious… she still had him. So I smiled.
