A/N: Hey everyone. So this what I thing should have happened at the end of 4x4. A girl can dream can't she? I don't own Blue Bloods. Thanks to Misty who encouraged me to write this.

Head down.

Jamie's words replayed in her mind as she sat curled up on the couch. Now that it was all over, and the heat of the moment gone, she knew he was right. But at the time, she was scared, and didn't know where to turn. And when she turned to her partner, she got rejected.

She knew Jamie had a part in the plan his father concocted. She hadn't spoken to him yet, but she'd relived the conversation multiple times.

Knock knock

Eddie walked and opened the door. On the other side stood one Jamie Reagan, take-out bag in hand. Aroma's from an Italian restaurant down the street engulfed her, and she moved aside to let him in.

"Hey." His voice was cautious, and she didn't blame him.

"Hey."

Jamie cleared his throat. "Umm, so I brought some food…I remembered you said you liked that place…"

"You remembered?"

Jamie looked down at the floor, embarrassed. "Yeah. So, you want some?"

Eddie laughed. "So you and your dad stayed up all night to fix the kart to make it right?"

"Yeah. We were exhausted the next morning, and Pops still hasn't figured out why the 'Henry Special' lost it's magic."

Eddie leaned back against the couch as the settled into silence.

"Look Jamie, about our argument…."

"That's actually why I'm here."

Eddie smiled. "Well, I understand now. I just was scared, but I get why you acted the way you did….said what you said."

"Well. I definitely could have been a more supportive partner." He said, looking into her eyes. She saw an apology in there, along with some guilt. She reached across the table and squeezed his hand.

"You were just doing what you thought was best. And I shouldn't have said what I said about you being the commissioner's son. It was just in the heat of the moment, and I had no right."

Jamie leaned close, almost whispering. "So, we're good?"

Eddie leaned forward a little. "We're good."

Jamie looked into her eyes, searching for something. She wasn't sure quite what, but then he leaned in, closing the distance between their lips. Eddie let out a soft sigh, and reached her fingers into his hair. After a while Jamie pulled away. He gave her a small smile, and moved to gather up the trash off the table.

Eddie picked up the cups and put them in the dishwasher.
"I'd better go. Tomorrow's a work day. Plus Dad may send a search party after me if I'm not home before long."

Eddie laughed and she walked him to the door. "See you tomorrow partner."

Jamie smiled. "See you tomorrow."

A/N: So I just needed to write this idea. If you like Jamie/Eddie, check out my other fic, "More than Partners" if you haven't already. Let me know what you think.
