Disclaimer: I don't own Hunter, Dustin, Shane, Cam or Blake. They're Disney's. Which makes Disney sound like some..slave-thingy-company in my ears.
Okay, this bunny bit me hard when I was almost asleep, and I had to write it down. And it made me feel so bad. I feel guilty for causing people in this fic pain -sigh-
You are all free to throw heavy things at me, I deserve it. Please review.
Denial, Guilt and Pain
It hurt. It hurt Hunter to see Cam with Shane, and know that he could never have the Samurai. Know that he could only watch from a distance. So, he went to the next best; Dustin.
Dustin would never turn him down, would never say no to him. Not when Hunter just seduced him a little. He knew Dustin was in love with him, and the Earth ninja was a great substitute for Cam on lonely nights. Hunter didn't care much about the brunette on daily basis, only at nights when he could get something out of it. Or, he did, in the days, if he could get something out of it then too. But except for those times...no.
That was all Dustin was to him: A toy to use when he wanted pleasure.
Blake had found out somehow, and kept shooting him disapproving glares, but Hunter didn't care much.
But one night, after he'd used Dustin yet again, he'd woken up and found Dustin crying right next to him. The younger boy's body shook with silent sobs. Hunter bit his lip, then hesitantly put his hand Dustin's arm, rubbing gently.
Dustin flinched, then slowly turned around. "I'm sorry," he mumbled. "I'll go." He moved to get out of the bed.
"Wait," Hunter said softly, making Dustin stop, sitting up in the bed. Hunter sat up, putting his hands on Dustin's shoulders. "Are you okay?"
Dustin nodded. "I'm fine, I just..." He bit his lip, looking down on his hands. "It's just...it hurts."
"What hurts?" Hunter asked, even though he knew bloody well what.
"This, knowing you don't really care about me, being used because you can't get Cam. Living with a hope that gets crushed more and more every time." Dustin answered.
Hunter moved his hand to Dustin's chin and tilted his head up, placing a soft kiss on the younger boy's lips. "I know," he said. "And I'm trying to feel the same for you, but I just..."
"Can't." Dustin said, his voice bitter. Hunter shook his head. "But if we continue this, then maybe one day I will."
"You think so?" Dustin asked.
"I know so." Hunter answered with a smile to him.
And so things continued the way they were. But Hunter never heard the sound of Dustin's heart breaking.
