This story was originally thought up as a comic with help from my sister. ^o^
Davey and Jack received questioning glances as they made their way across the Brooklyn Bridge. It wasn't strange to see the Manhattan leader with his buddy "the walkin' mout'" in Brooklyn but they seemed to be up to something strange. They were greeted by the orange heads who took them to see Spot.
"Okay, on the count of three, we do it," Davey instructed.
Jack grinned. "I got it."
"One, two-" Davey started.
"Happy St. Patrick's Day!" Jack called out cheerfully as Spot climbed down from his lookout perch.
Spot gave Jack and Davey a blank look. "What brings you two 'ere?"
"This is for you!" Jack grinned and pulled out a bouquet of flowers from behind Davey's back.
Spot raised an eyebrow. "A bouquet?"
The orange heads laughed softly behind Spot.
"No, not the bouquet!" Davey pulled out a clover from inside the bouquet. "This!"
Spot stared blankly at the clover. "Aha..."
"It's not just any clover, Spot. It's a lucky clover! A four leaf clover for our Irish Spot," Jack explained.
"You bought the flowers just to get a clover?" Spot asked.
"Well, Davey here wouldn't let me steal it." Jack swung his arm around Davey's neck playfully.
"We couldn't steal! It's wrong!" Davey protested.
"Just playin' wit' ya, Davey," Jack teased.
"So... what are you are you gonna do wit' the bouquet?" Spot nodded at the flowers.
Jack and Davey looked at each other. They hadn't thought about that.
"You can have 'em," Jack suggested. "I'm sure you have a goil who'd like 'em."
The orange heads snickered causing Spot to give them a warning look.
"No, thank you," Spot replied coolly. "Why don't you give them to Sarah?"
"Sarah?" Jack turned slightly pink.
Spot smirked. "Yeah. Sarah. The walkin' mout''s sister."
"He already got her flowers today," Davey said quickly.
Spot looked somewhat disappointed. "I see..."
Jack sighed in relief. "Well, Davey and I better get goin'. Hope you a nice rest of St. Patrick's Day."
"Watch out for the parade," the orange heads warned playfully.
Jack nodded as he and Davey headed back for Manhattan.
"Parade?" Davey asked.
"Yeah, the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Don't you know about it?" Jack asked.
Davey scratched his head."Um... I think I've heard about it before."
"Once it gets started it's hard to get anywhere. The streets are full wit' people watchin' it. We'll be really lucky if we can get to Manhattan without any trouble." Jack furrowed his forehead.
Davey laughed awkwardly. "Maybe we should've kept that four leaf clover for ourselves."
Jack laughed. "Yeah maybe."
David looked at Jack thoughtfully. "Isn't your real last name 'Sullivan'?"
Jack raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. What about it?
"Sullivan is an Irish last name. So chances are you're Irish too," Davey concluded.
"Never thought about that." Jack laughed softly. "Maybe Spot and I are distantly related."
"Ha! Now that would be funny," Davey laughed.
