Summary: What Edward is thinking about in the school parking lot before he saves Bella…
((Author's Note: Okay, I just got finished reading the first book in the Twilight series…for the second time…I feel an addiction in the making with this series…))
Edward Cullens sat in the driver's seat of his Volvo, shuffling through the songs in the CD player. He was sitting in the parking lot, waiting for the bell as car slowly filled the spaces. His "siblings" already headed to their classrooms, leaving him to his music.
Just then, he heard the loud engine of a certain '53 Chevy truck....and a floral scent drifted on the breeze, one that enticed him even more than blood did. As he started slipping into a slightly erotic daydream, a song played that betrayed his thoughts…

Bella pushed him onto the large checkered blanket that was spread out on the grass, her warm hands leaving trails of fire down his pale chest wherever they touched. Her dark chocolate hair, with its reddish highlights, made a wavy curtain that framed her face as she lowered her lips to his. He moaned softly into her mouth, his tongue seeking entrance. Edward's cold hands traveled over her firm, round backside and under her shirt, the smoothness of her ivory skin like silk beneath his fingertips. He breathed in her scent, sweeter than any rose, so intoxicating that it nearly suffocated him…
"Hey Edward, unlock the car," Alice said as she knocked on the window, interrupting Edward's daydream. Being as close as they were, there was no need for Alice to ask him who he daydreaming about. She grabbed her books from the backseat as Edward got out of the car, leaning against it. She watched as he watched Bella look through her bag by the tailgate of the old truck.
"You should…" Alice started to say, but Edward shook his head as he read the suggestion from her mind.
"Why no? I know how you feel, we all do. We don't want you to pass up this chance for happiness…"
Edward shrugged, and Alice gave up, knowing he would come around soon enough. However, as she opened the door to sit down in the back seat, a sudden vision stopped her in her tracks.
"Edward…She's in the way…,"Alice said. Edward turned his head to her to ask what she meant, but the answer showed itself in the form of screeching tires from his classmate Tyler's van, which was careening out of control towards Bella…
"No, Not her…" He half said to himself.
With speed beyond what he knew he possessed, he sped towards Bella, pushing her to the ground and bracing himself for the impact of the van…He refused to left this happen to her…
