Summary: Kopaka X Gali fluff. Prompt, Silence, just a quickie done in about an hour, because I complained there wasn't enough fanfiction and fanart of Bionicle shipping. One should practice what they preach.

Silence

It is a known fact that most, if not all, Ko-matoran are the silent types.

They spend most of their lives in complete silence after all, busy in study or meditation.

Most other matoran find it unnerving, (except of course the Onu-matoran, but that's a whole other bucket of rahi bait), so much so they can hardly stand to be in Ko-matoran company.

It was just simply too awkward, as one would attempt small talk while the Ko-matoran will half-heartedly answer in one-worded responses, or would simply glare at them until they left.

Kopaka was thankful his relationship with Gali wasn't like this.

He, in fact, adored the way silence felt when shared with her.

Effortless, natural and complete, as if words did not exist, did not need to exist, between them.

It was that Kopaka did not enjoy conversing with Gali, he adored her voice and loved the way she sounded when she sang, but he enjoyed how it simply FELT to be with her, without the need for pleasantries about the weather or how the latest kolhii match went.

In truth, he hated the silence when she was not there.

It meant he was alone, without her, and he had come to HATE that.

Though at times, he had to wonder if this was alright, this quiet peace between them. He had never been in a relationship before, least not one he could remember, so his knowledge on the protocols and such on this was rusty, awkward, at best.

True, Gali had never shown that she took the lack of spoken words, or had never tried to unnecessarily break it, not without good reason anyway, and if anything, she seemed as comforted by it as him at times. But the Toa of Ice could not help but worry about her happiness sometimes.

Thus, he finally decided to question her about it.

The Toa of Water simply blinked her golden-yellow eyes up at him from the scroll she had been reading (the Mata Nui times, sale on new Po-Koro shelves, he had to make a mental note of that) before she smiled and took his hand in hers, running her fingers through his.

"Oh, Kopaka…" She chuckled, a sound that still made him MELT a little on the inside. "It's a GOOD thing when we're comfortable with the silence between us."

He frowned a little before being pulled down against her, his forehead pressing against hers, causing him to blink in confusion and look at her as she closed her eyes. "Gali?"

"The more you know about a person… trust them… love them…" He took in a sharp breathe at that and she opened her eyes, her golden-hued orbs staring into his crystal blue and she smiled. "The more comfortable you are with them… and the less needs to be said…"

A smile toyed at his lip at that (She was the only one who could truly make him smile) and pressed his lips against hers.

He knew there was a reason he loved silence so much.
