Rey, I am your father
Rey had just finished her climb up the stone steps which welcomed her when she arrived on the planet that R2 D2 and BB8's map fragments had confirmed to be where the legendary Luke Skywalker had gone into hiding. At the top of the steps she saw a figure in a hooded brown cloak with its back faced towards her. Rey could see no part of a body except its hands, the left one was a fair skinned human hand and the right was a grey mechanic one.
As if he had sensed her presence the figure turned towards her while lifting his hands towards the hood of its cloak. The figure then pulled the hood down to reveal an aged, bearded face, Luke Skywalker. Rey stood in silence as she outstretched her right arm, in her hand was Luke's lightsabre. Luke also stood perfectly still, his grey hair and beard blowing in the wind, also in silence.
Just as Rey was about to say something, Luke raised his right arm and used the force to pull his lightsabre to his metallic hand. Before Rey could move here arm, Luke activated his lightsabre and swung it clean through here wrist, cutting her right hand completely off. Rey screamed in pain and sank to her knees.
"Why did you do that!?" Rey wailed at the old Jedi
Luke took a deep breath and calmly said. "Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father."
Rey could not believe it. "Who the hell is Obi Wan?" She yelled, confused. "What the hell is going on?"
"Rey, I am your father." Luke answered.
Rey wasn't too shocked by the news, she had never known any father and it would explain why she started to feel the force inside of her when she was near the lightsabre. However she was absolutely livid that he had cut off her perfectly good hand when he could have just straight up told her.
"Search your feelings, you know it to be true." Luke continued as if she had denied his claim.
"Okay I get it! You're my bloody father!" Rey shouted at the older man.
"Oh, that was easy." Luke sighed.
"Why couldn't you have told my instead of cutting off my hand?" Rey asked with venom in her voice, by now this was just anger as she was able to channel the force to numb the pain, also she wasn't bleeding out as the lightsabre had cauterised most of the wound.
"Rey, I'm sorry but I had to." Luke apologised. "It's Skywalker family tradition."
Family tradition!? Rey could not believe this. "So what? Is it family tradition for fathers to abandon their children on a backwater desert planet, and then when they finally meet the child, to cut off their hand and say you're the father!?"
"My father did it to me…" Luke shrugged his shoulders.
No. Rey could not deal with this. "You know what," She shouted as she got to her feet. "Screw this." She finished as she turned and began the climb down to the Millennium Falcon.
"Rey, what about becoming a Jedi?" Luke called desperately, Rey lifted the stump where here hand once was above her head so Luke could see. "Nah, don't worry about that, you can have a cool new metal one." Rey only continued the climb down until Luke could no longer see her. Then, a few minutes later he saw the Falcon lift off before leaving the planet.
