And then he got down on one knee… I gasped, as I was abruptly jolted out of my comfortable slumber, I scowled at the ANBU waiting at my window. " What the HELL do you want? It's TWO IN THE EFFING MORNING." I all but yelled at the masked guard at my windowsill. I sighed and reluctantly released the seal on the glass, allowing him to slide it out of his way. " I'm very sorry, Dr. Haruno, but there is an emergency at the hospital." That was all he had to say. As soon as he addressed me as 'Dr.' I knew exactly what was going to slip out of his mouth. I was already dressed and out the window before he had time to finish. "Hurry your ass up!" I yelled from the roof.

He followed soon after and we were skipping our way across the rooftops of Konoha.

When we arrived at the ER, it was in utter chaos. There were horribly injured ANBU everywhere. The nurses weren't doing much to help the ninjas' condition, either-

scurrying around in random directions yelling at each other and fighting with the patients.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed. "EVERYBODY, LISTEN UP!" as soon as my voice sounded, literally everybody in the hospital stopped in their tracks. "We have an emergency on hand, now is not the time to be panicking. Now, I need you all to calm down and listen to me. All the critical injured patients are to be tagged according to urgency, red being the worst, blue being the best. Then you set them up with an IV and check their vitals. Everyone else is to be set up in the clinic and checked up on. Go."

I watched as they all nodded and ran off to complete their task. I dismissed the ANBU at my left and wandered down the hall to the OR. This was going to be a long day.

~16 hours later~

I'd nearly broken my ankle on my way up the stairs to our apartment, and now I was sprawled on the floor after narrowly missing the sharp edge of the end table in the living room. I seriously considered just falling asleep there, but I was so close. I pulled my self up and trudged down the hall to our room. I fell on to the soft, cushiony… wait-this wasn't soft, in fact it was quite hard, and it was making noise. Whatever 'it' was rumbled and I heard a voice, "Oh, good evening, Sakura," oh, so it was him. " Hmmn… evening… Sasuke…" he chuckled at my tired answer and hugged me tightly for a second, before standing up. I vaguely remember him changing me into a camisole and little fleece shorts, before he plopped down next to me again and repositioned us so that I was propped up on his stomach and his heavy arms were around me. I sighed contentedly as I drifted off to a world of peace.
