Disclaimer: I do not own Star vs the forces of evil. Thanks for reading

She stood at the edge of the cliff. Her dark hair blew in the wind. She crossed her arms looking around at the beautiful world of Mewnie. At the age of sixteen, she should've been practicing magic with the family wand or learning how to rule by the stupid tutor her parents had hired so many years ago.

She scoffed, imagining how things were currently going in the castle. The Queen and King were probably boring all the noble people with another stupid party. Every now and then that idiotic bird-like thing Ludo would come up with another plan to take the family wand.

He wasn't the only one who wanted the thing, But he wasn't the one who needed it; the wand didn't belong to him; and didn't belong to her either.

Star Butterfly! Despite her rambunctious and irresponsible behavior, she was still a good heart. She was a hero, and the golden princess that would one day be Queen. A role she wasn't supposed to have.

The teenager took in a deep breathe. It wasn't time yet though, not yet. She pulled from her pockets her dimensional scissors. If she was going to take back her birth right, she was going to need to some help.

On Earth

Marco and Star were sitting in homeroom, with Star trying to copy off of Marco's homework.

"Star" He scolded, as she doodled hearts and butterflies around her paper.

"What?" She laughed. "Marco, it's called helping. Besides I don't have time for homework, I'm busy planning my fifteenth birthday!"

"That's not for another month, Star" Marco said.

Star shook her head. "You don't understand, Marco. When a Mewnie Princess turns fifteen she must preform a magical routine in front of the whole kingdom, and then vow to be a good princess of a golden heart. If I fail, it could be disaster! But I won't fail, so I'm just excited for the party afterwards!"

Marco pulled his homework out of the way.

"What happens if you do fail?" He asked.

"Oh" Star mutters "I lose my line to the throne and the whole kingdom is purged to forget that I even exist."

Marco gasped. "What that's crazy"

"That Mewnie" Star explained.

"As that ever happened?" He asked.

Star nodded her head. Her face darkened a little.

"Once two years ago" Star murmered "I'd rather not talk about it"

Marco saw the quick change in Star's mood. He turned his head back to his desk to see that Star had snatched his homework and was still copying it.

"STAR!"
