Okay, I haven't been writing my best lately…*Crosses fingers that this story will be better*

Note: I haven't seen Lost Boys: The Thirst, but I have seen the original and the Tribe. I have a general idea of Zoey's character, so please bear with me! Thanks!

Just some silly Zoey/Edgar cuteness, I hope this makes you smile a little.

Zoey gazed out her window more than necessary, anxious. She glanced at the clock…again. The minute hand had moved about half way to the next minute.

Edgar was a minute late, and Zoey was anxious.

"Where is he, where is he…"

She paced the kitchen, her black boots clumping against the wooden floor.

She suddenly realized that Edgar might be hungry.

Guys were always hungry.

She let out a shriek. Of course he'd be hungry…how could you not think to make lunch? Idiot!

Zoey flew into her kitchen and threw open the cabinets, grabbing the first think she touched. Pancake mix.

Yes. Edgar liked pancakes. It was his favorite food.

She made them quickly, glad that Edgar was late. Grimacing, she ran to the fridge. What did guys like to drink? She didn't have soda…Apple juice. Yes. Guys love apple juice...didn't they?

Zoey hadn't really had much guy experience since her brother was killed by a vampire three years ago. Her father was in Maine. Zoey's guy-education had been seriously lacking ever since.

Running back to the stove, she quickly flipped the pancakes over. Don't burn them...

CRAP! These are chocolate-chip pancakes! CRAAAP.

Did Edgar even like chocolate? Zoey had no idea.

Oh God…What if he was allergic?

Calm down! Stop freaking out! This was just supposed to be a discussion; we're discussing possible vampire activity. He's not even expecting lunch! Cool it!

If Edgar was allergic to chocolate, her second-cousin was a nurse. Zoey would just call her. Yeah. That would work.

The thought made Zoey relax a bit.

The pancakes were ready just as she heard a knock at the door."Coming!" She called, hurriedly placing them on the table.

Why are guys always so complicated?

Trying to relax, Zoey opened the door. "Hey!" she chirped cheerily when she saw Edgar waiting outside the door.

He nodded, his usually unreadable expression on his face. "Hey."

Edgar was dressed for business, his usual army outfit with combat boots. They were supposed to be talking about a possible new head vampire invading the area, and Edgar was ready to go. He had on his favorite red headband that Zoey loved.

She invited him inside, and led him to the kitchen. "I made lunch", she said hopefully.

Edgar nodded, his eyes brightening a bit at the sight of the pancakes.

Even the toughest of vampire hunters had a weakness for good food.

"I figured you wouldn't mind chocolate chip…it's really all I have".

Edgar gave a nod again, sitting down at the table. "Chocolate chip is good."

Zoey grabbed the apple juice out of the fridge, beaming to herself while her back was turned. When she turned to give him the juice, she found his pancakes already half-gone.

As it turns out, Edgar wasn't allergic after all. That was good.
