Vows

Nathan beamed, not with pity or amusement or mere contentment but with pure happiness at the man who stood opposite him at the altar.

"Nathan, to say that I loved you from the moment I met you would be an insult to both yours and everyone else here's intelligence, but I can tell you this; the first time I met you I hated you, abhorred you and a lot of other adjectives I can't repeat in front of some members of today's congregation." He looked at Zoe pointedly and there was a murmur of laughter. "After a year I began to like you as a colleague and even a friend, although of course I would never have admitted that. Then at some point after that, when I can't tell, I began to love you. Why I do not know." He grinned "but something I do know is that I want to spend the rest of my life, with you, figuring it out. Love you scientist."

There were cheers as he slipped the ring onto Stark's finger.

"I'm gonna keep mine short, everyone knows the only reason anyone is here is that Vincent is catering."

"Hear hear!" Both Nathan and Jack grinned wider.

"Jack, I always knew there was something different about you, at first I thought it was just your IQ (another laugh) but then I realised it was something else. Something I couldn't place. You know what? Screw GD a minute and screw science (there was a shocked gasp) I feel like we were mean to be together; fate brought you here, well, fate and the US government. Anyway, Jack, in my book it goes GD (he put out his hand) science (he moved it a lot higher) you (he raised his hand an inch). Love you sheriff." He put the ring on Jack's hand beaming.

Henry smirked at them both. "You may now kiss the...uh...groom."

"About damn time." Nathan muttered smiling pulling Jack in for a tender kiss. "Love you."

"Love you too." Jack whispered his voice almost drowned out by the cheers and camera snaps. Almost.

Please review, I'd love to know what you thought.
