8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter
By: Chocolate Milkahh
Author's Note: Hiiii! Last night, I thought of two great ideas for a story that might just blow your mind! Well…I'll leave that for you to decide :D Here's one of my new ideas!
Having a daughter isn't as bad as I thought it would be when I first found out my wife and I was having one. Raising her wasn't a piece of cake but I was able to handle my part in doing so. Setting some ground rules and all that jazz was easy for me because she was a good toddler. A perfect "daddy's little girl" in my opinion.
Now that my little Christina was all grown up, the rules I once had for her all flew out the damn window. No one told me how everything changed once she grew up. No one told me about the Hell on Earth that was about to rise up from the ground right in front of me when I least expected it.
"Daddy!"
My hands literally flew to my head to massage my temples. She only calls me like that for two things: money or permission to date a new boy. Sometimes, I can barely tell which one it is, but I really think it's about a boy this time.
"I'm in the living room, baby."
Coming through the door was Blaise's beautiful creation and mine. Dirty blonde hair, ice-cold blue eyes, and a body built for sports was my beautiful Christina Redbird.
She came up to me and prompted to jump on my lap to tell me what I already saw coming.
"Daddy, there's this boy in school who I swear is like totally the hottest, most del-"
I knew it. "Woah there, cowgirl, who is this boy and how old is he?"
At mentioning his age, I receive an exaggerated eye roll. Just like her mother…exactly like her. Knowing my daughter, this boy is a senior in high school. Call me old school, but shouldn't she be dating boys her age?
"But Daddy, he's such a gentleman, I swear! He even offers to walk me to and from classes. How often do you see guys doing that these days?"
It's true. Nowadays, the only thing boys look for is a good ass whooping from their girlfriend's fathers. Seriously, how hard is it to just enjoy being with someone without getting the poor girl pregnant?
As I was about to answer, Blaise comes through the door. The look of exhaustion she was bearing instantly changed to a grin when she saw Christina and I on the couch.
"Hey, sugar, how was school today?"
"Mom, I met the sweetest and hottest boy today in school! And I was just asking daddy if I can date him." Christina said as she jumped up and hugged her mother tightly.
"Oh really? And what did daddy say?" Blaise asked, looking at me and greeting me with a kiss. "Daddy says, we'll see. Maybe on Saturday since your mother and I are off."
The sound that pierced throughout the house was a cross between a blood-curdling scream and a creaking door. Someone's a happy camper.
"HEEEEEE! Thank you, daddy!" She threw herself on my lap to smother me in a fierce hug and a flurry of kisses, which I loved. She then ran up the stairs babbling about calling her friends and such.
"You're such a softie, it makes me question myself whether I married Jeremy Redbird." Blaise took our daughter's spot on my lap and I cuddled her into me some more.
"Oh yeah? Well, you tell me if you married the same man you first met.."
I scooped her into my arms bridal style and took her upstairs, Blaise giggling the whole way.
