The shield's genesis drabble, prequel to Destroyed by Love, a slash trifecta.
Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose stood in a small viewing area on NXT, watching as the former NXT Rookie, Skip Sheffield, paraded around as Ryback on Raw. This guy had none of the experience or lineage that these three men had. It angered them that he was at the top, and they languished. Seth even said as much in as many words.
"We should put him down." Reigns stated.
Almost immedeately, Ambrose and Rollind egan asking him what that meant, exactly, their voices making a cacophonic harmony. Reigns smirked and laid out his plan for each man to buy tickets and attack individually.
"So, this is how we get it done."
Rollins drew a few lines together in the plan, making a triangle.
"I think we should attack together. Make our own NWO, man. Noone could stop us. I'm the high flyer, Dean is the submission expert, and Reigns is the brawler." he stuck his tongue out of the side of his mouth as he scribbled forcefully. Reigns found the action dsarming, and maybe even a little cute.
Ambrose looked at the plan, nodding in agreement.
"As long as that pompous Sheffield gets what's his, I don't care." And with that, they set out to plan things, united in their hatred of Sheffeld, their debut was something that remained contoversial for years to come.
