Chapter One
It was New Year's Eve and everyone was going out to celebrate, including fourteen year old Kagome. She was going to go to her best friends' house! Her other half as
she liked to call her. Kagome hurriedly put the finishing touches on herself in her and her sisters' shared bathroom. 'Just a few more curls and I'm done!' she thought
happily...
"Done! And just in time too." Kagome said as she checked the time on her phone. She put the straightener down, swiped her lip-gloss on and stepped back taking in
her outfit. Kagome was wearing a wine color purple Mickey Mouse off the shoulder long sleeve blouse, with dark blue ripped up skinny jeans, knee high purple
Converse, and a black pea coat she had gotten for
Christmas a few days before. Her whole outfit actually came from Christmas gifts. Her make-up was simply her favorite mascaras and white eye liner that would make
her eyes pop and her long soft hair was in soft but bouncy curls/waves. She twirled around, kicking her foot up to see her Converse with her outfit. 'Perfect!' She giggled. Kagome spent a little extra time on herself today, for no
special reason but it felt right to. 'What if i meet someone tonight? Like in the movies..." Kagome scoffed at herself and shook her head, "Naww...not possible." She
thought as she checked herself in the mirror one last time. Little did she know who she would encounter at the party.
"KAGOME GET DOWN HERE WE'RE LEAVING! NOW!" her mother shouted up the stairs. Kagome bounded down the stairs then ran back up the stairs three more times.
1st to get her earrings, 2nd to change them, and 3rd to grab her Sugar flavored lip-gloss. "Ugh... We're late and we still haven't gone to a store, Kagome", her mother
grumbled. "It's not my fault mom; you were the one who wanted to leave one hour late and be "fashionably late" Kagome replied making quotation marks in the air and
stepping out of the house rushing toward the car. "Well, I blamed you and told Aiko's mom that you were taking your time." Kagome rolled her eyes and got into the
car, following her mother and father to the car, with her sister trailing behind her. Kagome got into the car calmly, stuffing her long legs into the small car and rode with
a small portion of her family to the New Year's Party. Kagome mentally screamed in her head, 'I can't wait! I hope the party is awesome… and surprising.'Little did
she know what surprise would be there to meet her.
