I don't own winx club. This is just a tidbit that I came up with off the top of my head. Enjoy!

Her emerald eyes flitted around the room, almost as if she was looking for something to be afraid of. Not that anyone else noticed, to everyone else she was as good as invisible. The girl did not mind though, as she was too busy worrying about something.

The girl herself was something though, maybe it was her kind, knowledgeable eyes. Or it was her auburn hair with a cream colored streak going down one side. It also could have been the light pink and green dress that made her look like a flower. Whatever it was she was clearly different than anyone else in the room.

Once again the girl was looking around the room again, this time instead of fear she looked more apprehensive. After not finding anything she moved toward the buffet table that was set up. She picked up a chocolate shaped much like a rose and took a small bite. A slight smile tugged at the corners of her lips, something not present until then.

The girl took another bite and found herself listening to the music being played in the background. She did not know the song but liked it. She finished off the chocolate before picking up a glass of a clear liquid. The girl downed the shot in one gulp, thankful for the sugary taste instead of an alcoholic one. A gentle hand pulled the glass out of her hand and set it on a passing waiter's tray.

She turned around to see a boy with black hair and hazel eyes verging on grey. The girl gave him a shy smile though there was something else as well. He whispered something into her ear then led her onto the dance floor. To any onlooker the two would have seemed happy. If anyone was actually looking they would see that the girl was hiding pain underneath her mask of joy.

The two spun on the dance floor, both elegant and graceful. With the soft, rhythmic music and the dim, golden lights the ballroom was quite stunning. Neither of the two noticed this though, both lost in their own thoughts. The girl looked up at the boy, taking in every detail of his face. She could see the boy doing the same. The girl sighed, sadness appearing on her features.

The boy asked her if she was feeling alright, she just stayed silent. He let it drop while trying to lose himself in the the music and the dancing. The girl found herself doing the same, trying to ignore the nagging of this not being right. She found herself glancing to one of the side doors. There was another girl, she looked slightly uncomfortable. The other girl stood there for a moment before silently slipping away.

The first girl, the one with green eyes and auburn hair watched her go with a slight yearning. She knew that it would never happen though, that was not the society she lived in. Besides the other girl had someone else. For a moment the girl allowed herself to imagine what it would be like. Just as quickly as it begun she banished the thought. After all, that was not accepted here, in this place.

Maybe sometime, maybe in the future she could stop pretending. She smiled, the thought making her feel truly happy for the first time that night. The girl found herself grinning, something to do with the lights, or maybe the music, or possibly even love.
