And, yes, Kidd was rather apprehensive of being alone with the sadistic and odd Landis, but his pursuit of knowledge gave him enough courage to directly ask the winger (instead of going all the way back to Two River City). So, staring at him with passionate eyes, he said, "Y-yes!"
