This is a little one shot I wrote. There are no names, so just think of it as your favorite One Tree Hill couple. I know I should be working on my story 'And after everything, I come crawling back to you' but my computers broken, so I'm using this laptop and this story just came to me. I thought it would be cool to do a story with no names so that everyone could like it.
I don't own anything OTH.
Denial. He was in denial. He knew she couldn't be gone. He could still smell the perfume she wore on her clothes. And he could still see the soap she used in the shower. Just sitting there. And he still saw that picture of them on their wedding day that sat so nicely on their dresser.
He remembered that day. Their wedding day. Everything that happened. The good and the bad. She looked beautiful that day. Well, she looked beautiful to him everyday no matter what. She always had a way of making him smile.
The doctors said that the cancer would take her slowly. They said she would have up to a year. The cancer had killed her in two months. The days between those two months and now were the worst times of his life. He hated thinking that she could be in pain and there was no way he could help her. He just wanted to go back to before the cancer was there. Go back to the time where they were truly happy.
Not that she wasn't happy when she had the cancer. She was. She insisted on doing everything in her life that she would miss out on. They had so much more planned to do, because they thought they had up to a year, if not more. But the cancer had taken over her body faster then they had expected.
He hadn't moved anything since she died. Sure, it had only been two weeks since the funeral, but he hadn't even cleaned the dishes in the sink that had been sitting there since the day she went into the hospital. Their children's dirty clothes had not be washed let alone touched since she left.
They had three beautiful children. A boy and 2 girls. They were the most priceless things to him, well, besides her.
She was so young when she died. 30 years old. She hadn't even lived half her life. Yet she was gone. As he lay down in the bed that he hadn't let in two weeks, his youngest daughter opened their bedroom door.
"Daddy?" She asked. "Where's mommy?"
He sat up. He knew how to answer this question. It's what she had told him. She told him this the day they found out about the cancer, and he would never forget it.
'If anything happens to me, just know that I'll always be there in your heart. Make sure our kids know that too.'
So that's what he told her.
He put his hand on his heart. "Right in here. That's why she will always be."
The End.
There you go! Just think of it as your favorite couple! No matter who they aree! Reviews are loved!
