Author's Note: I make no promises to commit my self to a story, but here is an excerpt of something that I may potentially write. Please let me know what you think of the idea! Even if I don't ever turn this into a multi-chapter fic I may still write it as a one-shot.I have been publishing writing on and since 2009, but this is my first fic for this fandom.

By the way, the title is still under consideration.

Disclaimer: I am not Gaston Leroux (author of the book) or Andrew Lloyd Webber (who brought us the musical). Also, "This is your choice! This is the point of no return" (If I remembered the line entirely correctly) is from Andrew Lloyd Webber's song from The Phantom of the Opera.

It Never Ends

Christine stared in horror at what she saw. Raul was covered in Bruises and was chained to the wall somewhere in Erik's basement. "Why are you doing this?"Christine whispered as she slowly backed away from the man that was quickly approaching her.

"Don't you see? We don't have a choice. I will always be like this. And you will always…" Erik broke off and turned away so that only the masked part of his face was visible.

"What?"

"You will always be an angel Christine. You will always be innocent, compassionate, and talented…irresistible to someone like me."

"I don't understand!"

He sighed, "We are doomed to continue this dance for eternity. In every life, this is what we will be. I am doomed to love you and you are destined to run off with that aristocrat of yours." Such torment filled his voice. "Perhaps it is my punishment for the darkness that my soul harbors." He laughed humorlessly.

As they stood there staring at each other he took a moment to drink in everything about Christine. She was beautiful. She was dressed in her usual simple attire of blue jeans and pink blouse. This time she was dressed as a student of the twenty first century and he was a masked criminal.

The girl walked up to him with wide, wet eyes. With trembling hands she gently caressed his face. "How can we deny our destiny?"

One gloved hand took her delicate one an raised it to his mouth for soft kiss. "Marry me Christine. Say yes and stay with me Christine. No one else can give you what I can!" He dared to look into her eyes. "Say yes Christine, and the cycle is broken." And then he uttered the hated words that he had damned them time and time again. "This is the choice. This is the point of no return!"
