Ghoul on the hill- Chapter 1- Crutches

It was 1934. People were saying hello to each other. A young girl in the crowd sat on a bench with her crutches at her side. Her name was Yumiko. She had dry chestnut colored hair that went past her shoulders. Her wooden wheelchair also next to the bench. She had freckles across her cheeks and nose. At 16 years of age, she was only 5'1" and 95 pounds. She would often be called 'Little Yumiko' for her tiny frame.

In 1923 Yumiko was at home not feeling very well. She couldn't stand up and screamed, "Mommy! Something's squeezing my leg". Her mother, Sani Gonagawa rushed into the room.

Dr. Remo told Sani, "Your daughters test results are back and it's bad news. Yumiko tested postive for Poliomyelitis or Polio. I'm sorry". Sani burst into tears and screamed hysterically, "NO! NO! NOT MY BABY! I CAN'T LOSE HER TOO"!

Yumiko cried. Her mother lost her appitite and stopped eating and eventually died while walking to the hospital to visit Yumiko. Yumiko was released from the hospital a year later. She was taken by a family. In 1929, A young boy caught her eating the entrails of a person. Yumiko looked at him with red irises and black scelras. She started crying and said, "Ok I admit it. I'm a ghoul".
