I felt my heart race as he pulled me closer, I almost couldn't feel it though, when his lips pressed against mine. It was a fast kiss, but the most perfect kiss in my whole life. When the kiss ended, he didn't pull away. He kept his fingers, which were almost as pale as mine, wrapped in my hair. My hair was white too. Just as his was. So if we wanted to we could stay out here in the snow. We blended in. We were completely hidden except for his eyes. They were cool black. Mine on the other hand, were light grey. Almost white. It was creepy, I'm not going to lie, but he didn't seem to mind.
When he spoke my mind swung back into reality. "Roger should be looking for us soon." Thats when my heart sank. Roger always talked to the top five after dinner. He wanted us to stay the top five, so he would ensure we were still where we were intended to be in the rankings. He didn't like the other children.
I let my eyes meet his, in a perfect way. "Oh, but Nate! I wish to stay here! Oh how I love Spending my time with you! wh." I hadn't noticed that my eyes drifted to my feet again I had only noticed when his finger met my lips I looked up to see the annoyed look in his expression. I then realized my mistake and covered my mouth with my own hands. Talking through my fingers , I once again pleaded.
"Oh Near i'm sorry please for-" He cut me off again this time by moving his hands with my own, and pressing his lips to mine once again. The reassurance you got from his expressionless face was always good. I simply nodded trying not to upset him again.
"Its okay Emi" he said.
He held my right hand with his left and gently pulled me inside, to the orphanage called Wammy's.
I never knew why we had to go outside to kiss only a few times. He just always insisted with excuses backing it up. I'm not one to to pry. I'm just curious of his logic.
We finally got to the door, and he let go of my hand as usuall. He walked so fast into Roger's office I didn't even have a chance to make him blush. He didn't blush often, but when he did it was adorable. I've never actually did it on purpose. But it usually seemed to happen when I twirled his hair for him.
Oh! Roger....
I looked up to see a happy Matt walking into Rogers office. He was always so cheerful, hes amazing.
I shook my own head in amusment, and followed behind. Closing the door on my way in, seeing everyone was already seated. I kept myself from sitting next to Near, he told me not to do that, so instead I sat next to Matt and Linda. In the redwood rocking chair, my legs formally crossed sense I was in a dress, combat boots, and lacey tights. All white, like usuall.
Roger began talking, as I gazed at the love of my life, Nate River.
