As I remain in place the world around me moves on. Not only left behind by the Blue Star, but by Lunar, where Althena's children flourish. If everyone has a destiny then mine is to remain in this place until needed. To watch over the Blue Star until it is restored to it's former glory and the children of Althena may again return. From the time I was a small child I was destined to remain the watcher. High in a tower of ice I have remained waiting for millenia. At the central most point of the tower lies a room, in the center a large green crystal hovering in mid-air. Within the crystal I sleep and dream, unaware that time has moved on. A willing prisoner for the sake of the children of Althena. Never knowing the joy of freedom, of love and companionship. Never having experienced what it truly is to live and move. Death holds no meaning, and neither age, for all the millenia I have spent in unmoving solitude I have not died, nor aged. And yet their hope hangs on me. How ironic that one who has never experienced the struggle of life would be the one on which everyone pins their hopes. Shaken from a sleep of millenia she will awaken, to protect the children of Althena, and even more importantly, to learn to live.
