My inspiration for writing this one-shot came from the final scene of 4x22, which of course was the positive pregnancy test in the trashcan. I do not own the rights to the characters Chuck and Blair, the CW, Stephanie, and Josh do.

As Blair stood in the doorway of the luxurious nursery watching Chuck cradle their four month old baby daughter, she couldn't help but punish herself again for almost preventing Chuck from being a father. When Blair first found out that she was pregnant before heading to Monaco with Prince Louis last summer, she knew in her heart that the baby was Chuck's and Chuck's only. Wanting to avoid the scandal of being an engaged to and marrying a Prince while carrying another man's baby, Blair selfishly contemplated letting Louis believe that this was his baby. But thankfully, Blair quickly came to her senses, for she realized that keeping a child, Chuck's own flesh and blood, away from him would be the worst thing she could ever do to him. Blair knew that not having parents would make Chuck appreciate becoming one so much more and that she could be the one who gave him the family he never had. Thus, Blair broke both her engagement and Louis' heart and returned to Chuck, her rightful King and welcomed baby Valentina Lillian Bass on February 14, 2012.

As Blair continued to watch the two loves of her life in the nursery, she eased up on herself by knowing that she ultimately made the right choice in telling Chuck about the baby and that's all that really matters. Besides, Blair needed to focus on giving Chuck his present rather than dwelling on the past, because today was no ordinary Sunday in the Bass household. Today was Chuck's first Father's Day, and Blair wanted to make this a special day for him. Blair walked up to Chuck and Valentina and said "Chuck, Happy Father's Day from me and Valentina" handed him a present and took Valentina into her arms. Chuck smiled as he opened his present, which was a photo album consisting of professional pictures of Valentina. Blair knew he loved the present and explained "I figured that you could take this with you when you have to go on business trips and that way Valentina would always be with you" Chuck nodded and replied "Blair I love it, but just so you know I don't foresee myself taking too many business trips. Bart did when I was growing up and I don't want to ever have my business take me away from you or Valentina." Blair was now fighting back tears, as she could see that Chuck planned on keeping family first and business second and how lucky Valentina was to have Chuck as her father. Chuck kissed Blair and then took Valentina back into his arms and said "Thank you Blair, for my Father's Day present and for giving me Valentina, which is the best present I have ever received" Valentina then stirred in her father's arms and Chuck smiled and softly said to her "Thank you Valentina, for making me a father so that I can now celebrate this holiday with you and mommy."
