Note:This is from the POV's of each character of the events that unfolded on 9-11-01 and this is my way of working through it.Lisbon made her debut in Shadow of the Past
Mulder:
I can't sleep.after everything that happened today,nothing makes sense anymore.I saw the attack on the TV in my office with Lisbon,Scully was in the crime lab,and Kryeck was on his way into the office.Lisbon had come by to return a book and chat for a minute when he saw the plane hit the first tower of the WTC.I saw the look on Lisbon's face,she had lived in NYC for several years when she was with the NY field office.She took her cell phone out of her bag and called Kryeck to check on him."He's ok" Lisbon said to me,"He saw a plane hit the Pentagon from the bridge".I saw transfixed by what was happening on the TV screen as the first tower collasped.Losbon's beeper went off and she went into the hallway to check it.Lisbon was close to tears when she came back into my office and all I could do was pass her a box of tissues.At that moment,Kryeck and Scully came into my office.The four of us saw the 2nd tower collaspe on live TV.Nothing makes sense anymore.I saw it in Lisbon's eyes:fear,angry(and she is not a very angry person),and the hardest part of it was the sadness in her green eyes.I left messages on mom's and the Lone Gunman machines to let them know I am ok.What Lisbon said later on hits home even more,"This should have never happened".She still has 2 friends from the NYC office missing
