A middle aged man approached and was watching them. His best friend Dyne and the Goddess Althena as they betrayed him. Dyne giving up his power as the dragonmaster and Althena becoming human. After a short exchange of words Ghaleon turned, head lowered and descended the stairs. His hands balled tighly into fists at his sides. As he slowly walked down the stairs he melted into his own thoughts, the outside world fading just as quickly as had his hopes and dreams. "Have I worked for nothing? What did I become one of the four heroes for? To protect the goddess? But, there is no longer a goddess to protect. Dyne must've understood how he was taking my hopes, and dreams, everything I've lived and worked for, and smashed it like a piece of fragile pottery." Ghaleon thought fiercely, gritting his teeth, and cursing. "So now what? Do I fade, disappear, and become nothing more than a legend? So this is what I've worked so hard for. To be abandoned by my goddess and friend. Her own selfish motives, desiring to be human when she knows that humans need a goddess." A disgusted sneer formed on his face. "Well, without a goddess there can be no heroes. I have done everything, been a hero, so what's left...." He stopped a minute, a smirk played across his lips and his eyes narrowed. "Well then, Althena may forsake Lunar for her own selfishness but I will save it from her mistake. If I am not to be her hero, then there is but one alternative left.... To be her enemy. She has cast me out of her Eden and made me the snake. Oh, but if no goddess, then there shall be a god." He tightened his lips in defiance. An air of confidence surrounded him as he continued down the stairs. "I SHALL BE GOD."
