Tears Fall For You

"Hey, how was your day, brat?" Sasori smirked at his blond teammate.

Deidara pouted childishly at the nickname and sighed softly with a hint of irritation. "Well, Tobi is annoying as always, yeah."

Sasori smiled as he chuckled softly in return.

"It's boring here, un. Tobi knows nothing about art." The blond crossed his arms and allowed a faint smile grace his lips.

"How is everything going? Anything new?"

"The other day, Leader assigned Tobi and I on our first mission, un." Deidara announced and described how miserable the mission ended.

"Really? Did you end up blowing him up?" Sasori chuckled at his question. Deidara shook his head with a smirk. "No, but I should have though, yeah."

Silence filled the atmosphere.

Suddenly, Deidara recalled some previous events that had happened lately.

"I went to town last week, un."

"Oh, really? Why?" Sasori's eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"I went alone this time, yeah. I know your birthday is coming up soon. I visited a new store called Arts and Crafts. There were puppets everywhere, un. It made me think of you, Danna. I brought you a present as an early birthday gift. I even wrapped it already for you, un!" Deidara declared happily as Sasori smiled politely.

"I'll be right back, un." Deidara whispered as he rushed over to the nearby closet. He swiftly grabbed the present and returned to the red head puppeteer. Sasori waited patiently for a change.

Deidara set the present in front of the red head and forced a fake smile.

"Here, I'll help you open it, un." Deidara ripped off the deep red wrapping paper and held the small puppets in his hands. One of the puppets looked like Sasori and the other resembled Deidara.

"Do you like it, un?" Deidara asked in a slightly higher pitched voice. Sasori did not reply. He just stared back at Deidara with his friendly smile.

"It's okay, un. I made them myself, yeah... J-Just f-for... you, Danna." The blonde's throat tightened as his speech became ragged.

The puppeteer stared into a set of light ocean blue eyes filled with sadness.

"What's the matter, Deidara?" Sasori asked as he watched tears form at the edges of his old teammate's eyes. The blond clay artist released a shaky breath and wiped the tears away with the back of his right hand.

"Nothing is wrong, Danna. I think I might be allergic to the dust in this room, yeah."

"Don't be sad, brat." Sasori whispered softly with a hint of disappointment. "I'm happy that we still keep in touch." Sasori's voice caused the blond to nod with a small smile.

"I hope you enjoy the present, Danna. I think I hear Tobi's loud annoying voice calling my name, un."

"I'll talk to you tomorrow, Sasori no Danna, yeah." Deidara whispered softly as he hugged the picture of Sasori tightly to his chest.

"Good bye, brat." Sasori smiled his permanent smile as Deidara left the attic.

I do not own Naruto. Just the idea of this fan fiction.
