Okay so this is a fanfic about a new girl coming to Forks. She is not replacing anyone, but merely an outsider looking in. Hope you enjoy!
"I'm going to be okay, I'm going to be okay
"I'm going to be okay, I'm going to be okay." I repeated in my head. "It's just a new town, nothing major. Relax, it's not like there are going to be any monsters."
I took a deep breath as we passed the sign welcoming us to Forks, Washington. The gloomy drizzle only heightened my fears. As the vast expanses of green slipped by quickly, I began to long for home. California was green, but this was a bit over the top.
"I miss the beaches." I said quietly.
"There are some nice beaches down by La Push, maybe you can go there once we settle in." My father chimed.
"La Push? Where's that?"
"I'll show you when we get to the house." He replied, obviously pleased to make me what he seemed to think was 'happy'.
I sighed and watched as my new home flitted by. Forks…that didn't sound interesting at all. Not even worthy of vacationing status. I must have been right because there didn't seem to be any tourists around. I already hated it here.
"Why did we have to move? A small town like Forks offers nothing for a growing family! But dad with his job…." I thought angrily.
We stopped at a small gas station near the house. As my father filled up the car and my mother went inside to pay (which I thought was strange), I saw an amazingly gorgeous pair of yellow eyes. Attached to those eyes was the most beautiful face I had ever seen. With messy, bronze hair and a crooked grin he made me feel queasy.
"No one deserves to be that pretty." I muttered.
That's when I noticed the girl beside him. She too was beautiful, but compared to the…the angel that held her close she was plain. They both had pale skin; the boy's slightly lighter than hers. I felt myself tanning just by looking at them.
It looked like they were a couple. What an odd sight. They both laughed together and went inside the store before I could get a better look at them.
"I am most definitely not at home." I sighed sadly.
