He reached out and gently tugged the braid, unraveling the azure hair into twining spirals. Souma caressed her cheek with his thumb, circling it. Megumi gasped, the touch almost scorching, searing. Her heart slammed in her throat.
"Hey Tadokoro, aren't you a little too unaware of me sometimes?" he murmured, leaning forward until all Megumi could see were his topaz eyes searching through her golden eyes. She shivered involuntarily as his gaze seemed to break the glass around her heart, and stare right into her. Her mind became muddled, hypnotized by the cobra-like eyes.
"I-I'm not- I don't- w-well," Megumi stammered.
"Aren't I being ignored a bit?" he whispered mischievously, half-teasing. The corners of his mouth quirked up.
"Souma-kun, you idiot," Megumi mumbled back, her face rosy pink by now. "You're always playing with my emotions…"
Souma laughed before he swept Megumi off her feet and into his arms.
